Lucy Steele joined Iowa State University's Office of Internal Audit in June 2026. Prior to joining Iowa State, she supported University of Iowa Health Care beginning in August 2023 and worked in the University of Northern Iowa's Office of Internal Audit starting in July 2024. Earlier in her career, Lucy served as a staff auditor and business analyst at Transamerica and as a data analyst for the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Statistics from Iowa State University and holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials.
